Watch: ‘The Tribes Of Babel’ – Motherjane

Kochi rock act Motherjane played the final curated performance of Baajaa Gaajaa 2010, opening for Indian Ocean (watch live video of their performance) at the Ishanya mall amphitheatre. The band’s set comprised material of their two studio albums Insane Biography and Maktub, along with this new song.

‘The Tribes Of Babel’ is a song the band wrote for an Amnesty International project about peace and love, or something. It’s pretty much standard Motherjane fare – efficient but unimaginative classic metal-inspired rock, based around guitarist Baiju’s almost carnatic axe work.
