MIDIval PunditZ Score Big On Amazon

MIDIval PunditZWhile bets are still on as to which Indian indie act will be the first to break through internationally (read the US, UK or even Australia, not Taiwan), MIDIval PunditZ have managed to impress the editors at US online retailing giant Amazon.com. ‘Har Ek Baat’, their duet with Papon, is ranked #28 on their list of 2009’s 100 best songs while its parent album Hello Hello is #92 on the 100 best albums of the year survey. The album also made it to our list of top 25 albums of the decade.

Clearly, Amazon’s handlers have better taste than their customers. Their best song of the year is ‘Lisztomania’ by Phoenix; their best-selling song of the year at Amazon is ‘Boom Boom Pow’ by the Black Eyed Peas.

The PunditZ are currently in-studio recording an OST for Vijay Lalwani’s film Kartik Calling Kartik. They play Elevate in New Delhi on Friday, Dec 11.

I love MIDIval PunditZ, but what’s wrong with Phoenix?
