The Prithvi Theatre Festival ‘09 will see, apart from a lot of theatre, a bunch of gigs as well. The festival, which runs from November 7-20, will feature a whole week of gigs that will take place at the Horniman Circle in south Bombay between 6.45-7.45pm. The gigs are largely singer-songwriter affairs with performances by, among others, Ankur Tewari (pictured), Zomb (ex-Metakix frontman) and Dischordian.
The festival will also see a production of the newly titled Sridhar/Thayil opera noir, The Flying Wallas on Friday, Nov 13. The opera is
a lyrical conversation between a soprano and a ghost about God, murder and showbiz
