Mumbai jam-rock collective Something Relevant are getting ready to release their forever work-in-progress debut album Feels Good To Be Live. The band has uploaded behind-the-scenes in studio footage of the album being recorded at Yash Raj studios, where the British Council SoundPad songs were recorded as well.
The videos are a fun insight to the way the band works, with choice scenes featuring occasional Indiecision lensman Vikas Munipalle. They’re DIY, and have a home video quality that’s entertaining to watch.
We checked out the band recently when they played the Blue Frog in June and thought the material was energetic live. Whether they can translate that vibe onto a studio recording is the challenge. Now, if they’d just get the album out already.
Check out the videos on the band’s YouTube channel. Here’s them recording ‘Harry Mole’, watch for Munipalle right at the end.

I would like to take this opportunity to point out that the funny south indian alphabet at the end is the brainchild of Mr. Mark Swaroop from Bangalore =)
