A.R Rahman Teams Up With M.I.A For Slumdog Millionaire

M.I.A.

Yeah, I know. How indie is AR Rahman now, right?

Rahman composed the score for Danny Boyle’s film Slumdog Millionaire, which is set in Mumbai. The soundtrack of the film features Rahman working with Maya Arulpragasam (M.I.A.) on the song ‘O… Saya’. She also contributes the absolutely killer ‘Paper Planes’.

M.I.A. refers to AR Rahman as the ‘Indian Timbaland’, which is cute. But what would be awesome-r would be some Kala at Live Earth. Somebody, make an online petition. But hey, Iron Maiden will be in Bangalore in Feb ‘09.

Head downstairs for the complete listing of the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack.
