Queens of the Stone Age front man and second coolest rock guy (behind Dave Grohl), Josh Homme, has confirmed that he will be producing the third, and yet untitled, Arctic Monkeys album. Carlo Von Sexron is shipping the Monkeys to California to record the album in the desert.
He told BBC 6 Music
Being Arctic Monkeys, the polar opposite would be Desert Monkeys, so they’re gonna come out and just experience that, and their idea is to submerge themselves in something else and do some tracks
This is very killer news, and one can now be rest assured that the album will be at least as edgy, and witty, as its predecessors. Earlier, Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford was slated to produce the album and we can all agree that Homme is a way cooler and more importantly, better looking choice.
Here, watch ‘Sick Sick Sick’.
