It was bound to happen. With Def Leppard postponing their gig to October (probably), the next artist hot on everyone’s mind was definitely Kenny G. Today’s Bombay Times confirms, in a surprisingly typo free report, that the sax man will play in Mumbai on the 11th of May and Bangalore on the 12th, taking the Indiecision May gig calendar tally to a grand 42 gigs!
The report doesn’t mention a venue, but I’m sure it’ll be someplace nice, with lattes. The opening line of the story reads
You’ve heard him do the soprano sax on compilation after compilation.
Precious.
Head downstairs for the full story.
You’ve heard him do the soprano sax on compilation after compilation. Now, you can hear him live. On his first-ever India visit, renowned saxophone player Kenny G is all set to perform in Mumbai on May 11 and in Bangalore on May 12.What can you look forward to at the concert? Kenny’s talent in a mix of genres, from his idiosyncratic romantic tunes to his Christmas carols to his rendition of classics. The saxophonist will perform the best of his alltime hits plus some experimental numbers from his just-released album, Rhythm and Romance.
